2010 CMA Awards announce
Country music star Miranda Lambert makes history with a record nine nominations for the 44th CMA awards. The artist joined fellow country music singer Dirks Bentley to announce the nominees from New York. Said Bentley “And the nominees for the femaile vocalists of the year are, Miranda Lambert.”
Bentley received three nominations for male vocalist album and musical event of the year. Bentley said “the nomination of the CMA is pretty cool. To have three of them is awesome for me just making them as a songwriter making this last record with my good friend John Randall just to have that album nominated for album of the year means a lot.”
Steel Magnolia received a nomination in the vocal duo category. The duo remarked “It feels incredible to be nominated. This is our first year out and this is our first CMA nomination. We actually had a chance to go to the awards ceremony last year and I remember it was our first awards show ever and I remember getting out of the car and just being so nervous.”
Joining the duo were country music’s stars Chris Young and Justin Moore who announced the final nomanees from Nashville’s Ryman Audotorium. The 44th CMA awards will be held November 10.
